Fangio In A Maserati 250F

Here is the first in what I hope to be a small series of motorsport paintings.

The idea was to take modern photographs of historic cars on track days, race meetings etc. and see if I can then make those cars look as they did back in the day and to try and give them a historic “provenance”.

The obvious things to change would be contemporary race suits and helmets, modern day track safety improvements and alterations to the car.

For this painting I went one step further as there was an absence of any one specific person to add to the car, and so I put the legendary Fangio in there as he is synonymous with the Maserati 250F.
