Advertising campaign for Centenario Tequila

Centenario came to me on this project with a very strong idea of what they wanted and they pointed me in the direction of an artist I've liked for a long time, Mel Ramos. The idea was to have an attractive woman dressed like the lady from the bottles label to be embracing the bottle and be seductive and enticing.

I very much like the way this illustration came out and would hope to be able to do more work like this. it's striking and simple and whilst it was hard work getting approval for the rough with hand gestures and posture having to be changed quite a bit, I'm still pleased with the way it turned out. Apologies and thanks must go to my wife Ann for all the impromptu modelling she had to do for this. "Put your arm like this, your leg like this but make it look relaxed" was a phrase often used!

Great pictures and website! I love the way the lady is not looking directly at the viewer .... much more mysterious.

i really like this piece, the black and white element gives it a classic look and the fact that theres no shading etc makes it more striking and the detail to the piece isnt lost (especially the woman which is captured really well).
