Le Mans 24 Hour Race / October 4th, 2011

Last weekend was a real treat for me.

After doing my illustration for Honda a while back (actually I have just realised that I didn’t post that job up on the blog) I was asked if I would like to go as their guest to see the 24 Hour Le Mans World Motorbike Endurance Race.

Well, I didn’t think twice and considered myself very lucky indeed as it is the first real perk I have enjoyed as an illustrator, especially as I love motor sport anyway.

I took along my painting which I had framed for the occasion in the hope of getting the riders to autograph which two of the three kindly did. Steve Plater wasn’t racing that weekend so I couldn’t get his.
